so how do most ppl plant it? is liek on to the mire mesh ?
They snip it into little bits and plant them in the substrate.
But your gravel must be fine, or it would float. No kidding.
yup that is why I said not easy to plant
I saw my LFS have them tied to a flat rock. Can i just place them level with the gravel and will they grow out?
it should but probably slower compare if you plant them in small chunk
i tried to grow on rocks with CO2 injection but it melts. I seen people managing to grow. Anyone knows what is the problem?

did you dose with fert? or maybe this plant root required to be burried? Anyway never try that way
Hi,
BioBlast do sell HC tied to rocks..... seen them 2 weeks ago when I went to top up the gas...... I also had thought that the roots of the HC, though very small and tiny, needs to be buried but the boss told me it isn't the case. He said, " Water Quality Good is more important"
I not sure cos I yet to try to tie to rocks but would expect water to be pretty rich in nutrients if the HC were to grow well when not planted into the soil.
low temp 24-26C, med high lighting and nutrient rich environment can boost this plant's growth but please don't put plant eating/digging fauna when this plant is starting to grow otherwise all your efforts are in vain.
You may need some help from stem plants temporarily to function as nutrient absorber in aquasoil setups if your idea is to carpet a HC tank with rocks only.
