72W for 21gal can lah... just make sure the tubes are staggered to cover the length of the whole 2 feet, otherwise you get romantic corners for fish whooppee

zercool, wat u mean by cheaper in the long run? when it comes to lights, u have to see what u need.. prolly, u can add more to yr tank, but u oso have to consider yr plants..
Cheaper as in less replacement of bulbs, and the ballast.
I have to change my FL bulbs every 6 mths.. and kinda taxing on my pocket as a student.
I'm wondering if changing to PL, woukd help lighten the load, as I heard tt I only need to change them once they get blown ??
