I'm starting a 1.5ft tank and i need you people's help. Those who has been to Nature Aquarium and saw the square tank with a piece of wood in the middle of many ground plants, i want to make that design but need you people to advise me on what to buy for that. And the cost of the items must be the lowest. Thanks

You can try Riccia fluitans with combination of Eleocharis acicularis (Hairgrass) to form a thick lush carpet. Remember though, you need lots and lots of work with riccia as those buggers really grow fast under high light and good amount of CO2. Good luck! []
