    does riccia need co2 to grow?? think of putting some in my tank... i asked some shops.. some told me it need co2 and some said don't... i am confuse...

    Hi there,

    All plants need CO2 to grow through photosynthesis. Most people feel that the pearling (due to O2 bubbles) of riccia is one of the most beautiful aquatic sights to behold. If you are looking to achieve this affect in your tank. You definitely need to have CO2, ample lighting and good nutrients.

    Be warned that it will float up after a while and you have to re-tie them again ... too much effort IMO.

    retieing occur once in around 2mths
    not so bad lah. But the pearling effect is really great!

    thanks... may i know mostly how many co2 does you all let out??? for me i let out one bubble about 3 to 4 sec.. is it ok??? and is it true that if you have a co2 gas in your tank... there wont be any algae..????
