my elatine melts when there is a big change in water params, then it just bounces back, i also noticed before that it turns a bit transparent and yellowish fairly quickly if there is a nitrate shortage.

They needs a good balance of good lighting, nitrate and CO2 to thrive. When you give them what they want, you will wish that they could grow slower ^_^

hi Kenneth...maybe the new ADA soil or the low ph level that causes the APP to melt ...for nitrate(kno3) i did dose...

    bro troyz

those that i gave you recently was harvested from my 2ft tank using ada. was using only 55w of PL lights initially and they were growing upwards. so i decided to put in another 55w PL and they started to spread and cover my whole entire tank. about 1 to 1.5bps for CO2. temperature around 26 to 28deg with a fan on 24/7. i only dose liquid fertiliser when i remember, let's say once in 2 weeks.
    don't worry, be happy

possible, i think the ADA soil is a bit acidic right ?

right now my tank is really nitrate saturated ( over 50ppm even after wc, something wrong..) APP is growing nicely.. hehe for me APP is a nitrate hog.

to add to morta skuld, at 30 deg + 1 my APP melts after a week.
