17 ft ???? so you want to buy angel fish but don;t know where to buy? so why is your pretty fish dying?
Ehh bro, I think he meant 17 inches.. Cause he mention medium size tank.. Anyway which area do you stay? Might be possIble to take a look at the LFS section...
Been awhile since i last kept shrimps/ fishes, please give me your kind guidance!
17 inches is too small for angel fish
Ooo haha mixed up ya is 17inch.. It's a tall type of fish tank. I am staying around telok blangah area. I went to havelock road but the angel fish Dere very limited... At first I have 6 angel which I buy from qian hu dunno y all slowly die now left wif 3 only.. Than recently went to havelock buy 5 more...
ibbz, that tank is too small for angels, even a tall tank. You did not state what kind of filter you are using, how long you cycled the tank and what you have been feeding them with. More details, a photo of the tank etc, will help in identifying the problems.
Please do not make a "noob" mistake and overstock your small tank with too many fish which will outgrow the tank. This is for the sake of the fish, and for your wallet. Many people make this common error and end up buying more fish than what their filter or the tank is capable of handling, and especially in un-cycled tanks. Without sufficient filter bacteria, your fish will just end up dying of ammonia spikes among other things, and worst, disease if you bought ill specimens that seem fine at first glance.
I understand you are used to local slang and SMS lingo, but here on AQ, we would appreciate that you use proper English if possible. Thanks.

Can I ask if my submersible filter's rain-bar is below the water level, will it create enough air for the fishes (about 20 of them). My tank is 2ft and only have 3 plants. Should I raise the rain bar above the water level to create the bubbles effect to create the air?
Hope to hear from the experts' comments.
Tks
hi polyho..
Air can still be absorbed by the water surface.
As stormhawk mention, don't over stock. It is the primary school lesson i learnt from 40-50 guppy in 2 feet tank using air fliter, many guppies died.. (whoa! that was a blast from the past)
If you see the fish constantly at surface, something is wrong.
hope this can help you out.
Cheers

raise it above water level can help. but better to reduce bio load. or run air pump with sponge filter.
you say 17 inch now say 2 feet??? you have 2 tanks??
Bro, it's 2 different person ...
Anyway, do read up more on cycling, and with regards to keeping fishes, always remember to not overstock... It would a big problem. And how dis you introduce the dishes into your tank? - there are lots of possibilities which causes the death, unless you are precise, we can't offer much advice as to where the problem lies ( other than over stocking)
I am staying in Henderson road, very near telok blangah, and I will be more than happy to help and offer you what i know if you got any immediate queries that need to be answered. Can drop by my place any time and chit chat over a cup of coffee haha...

Your koi angelfish are not pregnant, though if they are mature then you might have a female in those pics. Angelfish lay eggs.

I have a few angel fish in the tank. So u mean the pic I took which shows the tummy are not got baby? Cos when I first buy them the tummy like not soo fat..
angels lay eggs and did you notice any pairs in the tank??
change to a bigger tank, better filtration sysyems. read more books or search internet. key in "how angel fish breed".
The kois angel are always together, but the possibility chance of it of both female right? How to differencate the pregnant and non-pregnant? The bulging tummy is not the sign of eggs? When I first got them, no bluging tummy
In a tank that small, you would be lucky to get 1 pair out of several. Angelfish can get bloat from overfeeding, or their tummies will be fat after a good meal. Either way, it is no indication of a gravid female.
When you first got them they were probably not fed very well. This is common.
