I got my submerged HC about a week. Noted yesterday the colour becomes dull as compare to bright green colour when first bought. No growth so far. light 4 watts/g, ADA soil and lighting 7.5 hours. Any problem with the HC ? Kindly help.

Any other tank data? CO2, ferts, water temp? You're very sure the HC is already in submerged form? I know HC can be a little hard to jump start, but once they get going, there's no stopping them.

Size of your tank? Anything below a standard 2ft tank(2' x 1' x 1') and the WPG rule doesn't apply. You still may, or may not have enough light to grow HC.

My HC on my 1footer cube with 24watt pl light took 3 weeks to actually show any sign of growth. I'm dosing EI with 2bps co2.

Its 2 months now and they are slowly creeping. The new leaves are bright green in colour and yes, mine too became dull when first planted. So give it a few more weeks, keep dosing ferts and blast co2. I do dose a bit of excel every other day. Read somewhere HC loves excel.

I dose about 0.2 ml each time. And thats because I have Cherrie shrimps in there. I would have dose more if not for the cherries.

For yours just follow the recommended dosage on the bottle. Maybe a little bit more if you dont have sensitive creatures.
