    hello..

    i'm sorry to ask you guys this.. i'm going to set up a marine tank.. i've got old tank bout 2 feet.. but the glass is just about 0.5cm ~ 0.8cm thick.. can it hold?

    and what is the suitable glass thickness??

    No need to apologise.

    In my opinion, an old tank might have worn or old silicone and might be useful for a few months. I would advise to get a brand new custom tank for a marine setup. Thicker is better and for a 2ft tank,6mm to 8mm should be suffice but thicker if you are going for a cube tank.

    For me, I will try get a thicker mm for marine tank. Basic reason coz there are more weight, corals, sands etc .. Heard black silicon is stronger so that is advicable too.
