    Hi everyone,

I'm thrilled to find this forum and hope to be a useful member to the community of friends here! If you're also a member of Aro...I'm known there as andrew2003wong. Active behind the scene but dont post much these days.

My main interest is in bettas but would like to start out on apistos and shrimps as well, now trying to learn as much as possible from you first.

    Excitedly,
    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,

    Welcome to the forum.

Do lookin around our sub forums for information of your upcoming projects in rearing CRS and apisto.

I do want to 'pre warn' you. Apisto keeping is a very addictive hobby. These fishes are fishes with character. It is very interesting to watch them grow.

I am keeping a few apisto currently

I know what the addiction bug is like! Happened to bettas before. In fact I just bought three juv apistos and I'm already quite facinated by their 'intelligent' behaviour. Already feeling the urge to go out and get a few more but thankfully, my betta fries are also pre-occupying me. Hopefully I will never get to start on CRS or it's going to get super costly on my wallet!

Do read up on the rearing of apisto. The interesting thing is the process of raising up the fries till it breeds and then raising the fries.

If you have any queries, feel free to post in the sub forum or you can always pm me.

You mentioned you are a betta keeper. Maybe you would like to share with yours what type of bettas you are keeping? Show or Wild bettas?

I used to keep wild bettas before last time.

    Hey Richard
Thanks for the warm welcome! Ooh..discus....would like to try but the changing of water on a daily basis is just a bit too much for me! Changing of water for bettas every third day is already a headache so would like to try something less demanding (or so I thought).

Which apistos have you started with? I bought a pair of juvenile Apisto Trifasciata from a bro in Aro just 2 days ago. I also have a pair of German Rams for 3wks. Now, hoping they will breed.....

    Andrew,
I got a pair each of Agassizii and cacatuoides.
Maybe you can post the photo of your Apisto Trifasciata
    for us to see.

They are less than a week old in their new tank so still rather shy in coming out for the camera. But once they have adapted and the colours are showing, I will surely show them off here......haha.

I'm really tempted to also get another pair of German Rams.....
