    Hi,
My apisto tank is infested with worms.
Those are small, about 5-7 mm long.
I am not sure how they got there.
Tank is lightly planted with Africana soil,
1 pair of apisto agassizii, 6 white cloud and 2 otos.
Anyone got any idea where they come from and
how to get rid of them.

    Richard

    Hi Richard,
Is it flat with an arrow head shape at the tip and crawls around? If it is, then it's planaria and it means water condition is good and food is plenty. Cut down on the food stuff - or get some corys to clean up after your apisto. Used to have that in my shrimp only tank.

The worms are quite similar to earth worms in color.
Try to get some pics posted tonight.

    Are they nematode worms?

These normally appear due to overfeeding. Performing a large water change and less feeding will eradicate them.

Just to update on the worms problem. On closer look it looked like
planaria. I have move out the fishes, thrown away the plants and soak everything in it with hot water. Now just got to setup the tank again.
