badis badis are cave spawners and they're quite shy fishes. providing them with enough hideouts and active tankmates, they'll start to come out more often. feeding them with livefoods and decreasing the amount of light in the tank might trigger them to spawn. there's one catch though. the males are highly territorial and may bully one another to the point of no return. by the way, most of the badis sold in lfs are males. very seldom would u see females for sale.

The males and females are very distinct. You can tell them apart very easily, the males are very longish and more vibrant in the body colours while females are more round and more dull in colouration. I have two pairs in one of my tanks but don't know how to breed them.

a normal clay flowerpot with a hole at the side or those clay cave ornaments they sell at shops will do just fine. those caves or flowerpots people use to breed apistos will suit them very well.

I think nonid flowerpot cos it'll make ur planted tank look abit weird if you put in the small flowerpot. Try to get those driftwood with deep holes for them. I got a small driftwood that has a hole in the centre part. Some really like to hide inside sometimes. If not, try to leave some gaps for them to swim between the driftwood. Mine are strange ones, most of the time, they like to swim ard the tank and 'play' ard the rainbars when not hiding.
