Any idea how tall Eleocharis vivipara will grow? How about vallisneria nana? I had Cyperus Helfery and it grow very long/tall until it curl from back all the way to the front and cover my front tank. Maybe about 70cm long, too long for 2ft tank.

Any sugestion of grass like plant with max length of ~50cm?

Mine is already growing across the surface of the water of my 1.5ft tall tank. The effect is quite nice.

that what I'm trying to do with Cyperus helfery, but it end up growing too tall and cover my front tank as well

By the way did you have problem with algae growing on the part of the leave that sloating on the surface? I'm having this problem with Cyperus helfery, those brown and green color algae.
