    any idea if blue lampeye are jumpers?

    Which fish are you referring to? Lampeyes generally refer to killifishes of the genus Poropanchax, so I will assume that is the case.

    There are a few species available, but the most commonly found should be Poropanchax normani.

    They are top water level dwellers. So they are possibly more prone to jumping when startled or unsuitable water conditions (as would most fishes).

    However, they are really one of the easiest fish easy to care for.

    Unless you are referring to another fish, please share some pictures or use the scientific name.

    If you have heavy floating plant cover that will reduce jumping. All killies will jump so if possible have plants floating on the water surface.
    If there is a hole in the tank cover they will find it so plant to reduce this.
