Hi guys,
Helping a friend id a fish...
He's looking for a cichlid he saw a few years ago and have been wanting to keep. It's shaped like a LH, including the hump, body is pinkish with some shine. Anybody can put a name to this fish?
Thanks.

Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

Alternatively, if the description is too vague, please recommend a good website where he can browse the pics for the fish.
Thanks.

LH prototype 1...hahaha [] it could be a full grown midas or red devil.
Work Whenever, Fish Forever.
too vague!
a red devil has got nuchal hump and some have pink
A male synspilum may look pink under certain circumstances..
put 2 fish together, they look drastically different, but word descriptions are the same..
if possible, your friend can narrow it down to the major group it should be in.
Search internet for "Amphilophus SPecies" and also "Vieja Species"
another keyword that can be used are "Theraps Species"
can also include the word cichlid
Thanks. Its neither the Midas nor Red Devil.
Problem is he is chinese ed (malaysian, no formal english ed), but Internet literate (MM designer). I'll try to help him with the search.
He did say the name starts with a Q. Any sudden ideas? Else nvm. Maybe I'll bring him to Dovii's shop when it's up, he might decide on diff cichlilds instead.
