Need feedback: is server performance better?

Yesterday around 2pm I have problem to get it. However today everything good.

now all the post timings seem abit screwed up
i'll try to find some examples
hopefully its not my comp clock thats screwed

Edit: It all seems fine now. What the???
For a moment I was darn sure that the post timings were messed up.
Maybe my eyes messed up instead.
Pls ignore this "problem" until I find a concrete example.

Post timestamps are solely based on the server time, not your CPU time. Even if your CPU time is wrong, the server will still record the post in the correct sequential order (as long as the server time is consistent).

yeah, having problem accessing at night around 8-9pm

couldn't access into AQ yesterday night at 11pm-12am. only able to get on now @8.50am

When I was home yesterday night and trying to access AQ at about 10pm... it was down... I tried many times but I eventually gave up by 12mn.

I SMS a friend who also has an account with AQ... I was told it was down since 7pm +

There is no improvement to this on-going server problem

It was down again when I tried accessing AQ after lunch... trouble trouble trouble

Maybe should just crush the web host servers! It simply sucks!!

Was quite bad today between 12-2pm. All seemed to be well now.

Most times someone SMS me that it's down and I reboot the server to clear it.

What is the specs of the current server and network? Grid, Co-lo or Dedicated? Local or Overseas? I might be able to give some recommendations. Once of my client's forums gets about 2K new posts a day, imagine that kind of load. He's using http://www.8.to/'s dedicated.

Also i think it would be a good idea to optimize vB. Maybe have stuff like caching, reduce server-straining scripts/queries, etc.

We have tried optimising, but to no avail. Anyway, we should probably be getting on to a dedicated next.

You got any clients running vBulletin with 40 to 60 users (including guests) online at anytime? Is he on VPS or dedicated?
