Do you also have snails in your tank? I too have had such experience where there were either little holes or edges being nipped off on my nana leaves.

Just guess here. I've had all Pink Dwraf Chilid, Clown Roaches, Plecos and German RAM in my tank before and my plants didn't get nipped then. Could it be your Angels?
Actually, all are well.
Then suddenly, I realised the nana leaves from a full piece of leave to small little triangular shape...I have 3 bunch of nana in my tank and all getting the same type of trimming...sigh..
All these happen before I intro the angels. So I guess is not them.
Before I go into the suspects, just a few things I noticed.
What exactly is this pink dwarf cichlid? If it is one of those African Rift Valley lake cichlids, then they should really not be kept in this tank. The requirements would be very different from the rest of the fishes you have.
Roaches are short form for cockroaches. It should be clown loaches, not roaches.
Now, for the most likely suspect. My guess would be Chromobotia macracanthus (clown loach).
Not many people realise this, but the diet of C. macracanthus includes plant matter. Yes, you read it right, they do need some amounts of vegetable in their diet, e.g. cucumber, zuchinni, lightly boiled peas.
If there isn't enough plant matters in their diet, I guess they would readily take whatever is available in the tank. They also have been reported to uproot plants, or even "punch holes" in the leaves.
This is an excellent write up on the husbandry of C. macracanthus.
