My German friends...Sacha, Juliane, Christian & Nicole come to Borneo for the first time. I decided to show them the pitcher plants in the Kerangas forest near my home.

As they don't know much about pitcher plant (Nepenthes spp.), I had to explain to them why this plant is a carnivorous plant & why they grow in this nutrient poor habitat.

After showing some interesting pitcher plants such as Nepenthes rafflesiana, Juliane may be want to try planting pitcher plant at her home after going back to Europe.

I hope all my friends like this plant because I think Nepenthes is the coolest plant in Borneo!
