This is supposed to be another "common" gourami, though I seldom see it in the LFS and as usual, no females. It is the bigger cousin of the more ubiquitous dwarf gourami.

And I didn't realize it has hairy lips until I looked at the pic on my computer. Should it be called hairy-lipped gourami instead?

Also, it has a habit of "yawning" as seen in the second pic...





Didn't manage to get a clear shot of the flaring between the two males... sigh
