Thanks bro CK Yeo
If its Cryptocoryne SP wendtii, I think mine is Cryptocoryne SP wendtii "green" cause other variety of wendtii got red colouring
Is Nurphar japonica known as "tai yang cao" in chinese? (sun grass)
How to know whether is emersed or submersed?
Yes, LFS call it "tai yang cao". But I think the Taiwanese also call some other plants as that. So it is rather confusing. Best to refer to it by its scientific name. It is submersed. Emersed leaves look and feel tougher, more rigid.
I think it is more correct to call Cryptocoryne wendtii. Not sure if you wanna put the "green" behind, because they tend to be rather variable depending on growth conditions.

Personally I don't think the Nuphar japonica is called Tai Yang Cao in lfs or in Taiwan. Tai Yang Cao is the Tonina. Nuphar called by Taiwanese as Ta He Ye.

Well, it depends on who you speak to. Have you asked LFS or plant farms what they call Nuphar now? I am pretty sure they call it tai yang cao before Tonina became available.
Like i said, it is probably best to refer to its scientific name though LFS will give you blank looks if you do.
I wonder how many LFS call crypt as 椒草 (jiao cao?) as they call in China and Taiwan.
