I have been in this planted trade for sometime. This is one of my set up.

It is a 3ft by 18inch by inch tank.

    Any comment?

    Hi Yang Yang,

What size is that tank? 4 feet? Looks very healthy.

    scaping

In my point of view, there's is natural scaping and artificial scaping. So for my picture that u guys view, might feel that it a bit messy. That is my natural scaping..

    Yang Yang,

Just in case you feel a little offended... the guys here may sound a little critical. But please understand that in this community we give our honest critiques to help each other improve, so both good and bad comments will come your way. Of course, each person has our own views and we need not heed the other peoples opinions if we feel we are happy with what we have done.

We also find that these kind of comments are better than just mindless "wah, bro! your tank looks great."

I think most members here will agree that your tank looks very lush, green and healthy.

With respect to artificial or natural scaping... the word 'scaping' itself implies artificiality. I'm not sure what you meant by 'natural' scaping. I'm guessing you mean that after your initial placement of plants, wood and rocks, (i.e. your initial scaping) you just let the plants grow wild, instead of trimming them to shape/height or restricting where they can grow.

To some, natural scaping means creating a scape that looks natural... though along the way they may still trim and move the plants to keep the general design.

However, I think there comes a point where most hobbyists revert to 'natural' scaping. I.e. they leave the tank alone to grow. Only trimming the plants to keep them from out-competing themselves for light and nutrients.

    Hi yang yang,

Nice growth of plants you have in the first picture attached. May I know how you mantained all your stem plants(the red plants behind and the bunch in the center-right portion) ?

Those are Hong Yu San. It required iron and strong light. Regular water is needed if you want to maintain it redness. Not forgetting iron tablet. Again, do not overdose. If not, u will invite hair algae. Cheers!

Hi Yang, you can be proud of your tank. It's very nice and everything is growing well and looks original. Could you take the plastic container in the middle and take another shot for us?

The person came up and view the set up. Suppose to purchase US fissiden from me only. But end up asking whether selling other plants. So after a long conversation, he open up a price to buy all the plants inside the tank. Got friends to transport the plant to his house and do the scaping for him. Thats's how the deal goes. Are u interested?
