I think an Arowana shows the most attitude.

I agree the head looks like an SAE, but the dorsal fin seems too big.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
Well, is that flying fox or SAE?
Look like SAE to me.... looking at the end of that tail....

Pretty sure it's an SAE.
Once you've differentiated between an SAE and a Flying Fox, you'll never mistake them for the other anymore.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
It's SAE. Transparent dosal fin and black stripe extend to end of tail.

Another tell tale sign, the jagged edges of the balck line.

ninjafly, if you look at the first pic, the fish seem to be wearing a helmet (that line across the top of the head). this is a very good indication that it is SAE. Flying fox and false SAE has a different shaped mouth and the head does not have that "helmet"-look. that was why I thought it was an SAE but felt the dorsal fin looked strangely large.
I find this very useful to look for in young SAE when it is rather difficult to check the tail or jagged back.
