Plant passed to me by Alfa...
Looks a little like lotus and the banana plant but was told was not directly related to either...
Anyone able to positvely ID the plant? Thanks...

What about Nymphoides sp. taiwan?
koah fong
Juggler's tanks
It is Nymphoides sp "Taiwan" (You can refer to Aquarium Plants Book No. 1 by Christel Kasselmann.) as mentioned by Bro Juggler. Taiwanese treat it as Nymphoides indica (??) a.k.a Da4 Xiang1 Ku1.

Thanks! I keep forgetting... They're growing well now...
Will they eventually reach the surface? If so, got to 'train' them liao...

1 question... Ok, several questions... There are new leaves with roots growing on the longest/tallest leaves... How do I harvest or replant them? Snap the new plants off? And will the old leaves die after that? Or will there be new plantlets growing from the leaves?

You could just pluck the young plantlet and replant it .Remember to remove excess roots (If there is any) before replanting.
Most of the time the old leaves will stay after you remove the young plantlet. If you don't remove the young plantlet , the old leaves will die gradually. This is their way to propagate.
P/S: Same case for Four Colour Lotus (Nymphaea micrantha).

let it develop floating leaves and then we'll see if it is Nymphoides when it flowers. right now the habit does not appear to be a Nymphoides.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.
