    may sound stupid . How to we trim the plant ? cut the top or take out the plant and cut the bottom part?

    It would depend on the type of plant you are refering to. Perhaps you would like to tell us what plant you wish to trim so that others here can advice you on which part to trim.

    Eh even without id you can tell us whether its a stem plant, a rosette plant or moss. Or maybe even further into detail like whether its a Crypt. or an Echinodorus etc.

    For most stem plants you can just cut between nodes of the stem and then replant the trimmings into the substrate. New growth will also sprout from the part you cut. There is no need to pull out the plant to cut.

    yup stem plant you just need to cut between nodes and you can plant the node again to make it more. you can see that the stem plant theres some line between the stems and you just cut from there.
