    Hi,

My Altum already on my tank for 1 month.
Recently, I changed 1/4 of the water.
Next day, I saw one of my altum angel got white spot and the other got it's long fin cut off.

    Why?
    What should I do now?

Either you can get an ick solution but you'll have to isolate the infected fish from the others and follow as per instruction as it can be rather strong and a genocide could actually happen as in my case.

A more passive approach is to gradually increase the temperature of the tank while adding a little salt. Proves quite effective to me...

Yes. I do not really like to use medication. Always failed...sigh..
I will try to isolate the sick one out and put some salt.

    1 already down.
    4 more left.
They are eating fine. But I saw one of them has a sunken stomach. Not very active....sigh...

altums are difficult.. what is your tank size.. 3ft .. 4ft..or larger..??.. is it heavily planted..??.. I find that meds do not work well on altums.. better to have a low ph.. 5.5 to 6.. feed them well and when they are in good health and not stressed, do a one time(full course) de-worm and anti-parasite.. thereafter, use only dry food..

    all the best...

I recently just treated white spots in Otos and some rams using Interpet's Anti White Spot Plus (no. 6).

It was brought about by some otos. No casualties.

Got to read instructions carefully, for the case of the med I recommended above, one has to mix the med in warm water first, don't ask me why though.
