Very stunning. How did Stan, Juggler, Fei Miao and the rest do in the competition ?? Btw, my business notebook wall paper is using Stan winning AQ winning entry. Top notch.

I was looking at the individual scoring, #7 scores a rather low of 97 with judge 13, Bernd Degen while Amano seems to like it with a score of 193 (out of 200). But generally the panel of judges are favourable to the "artificial" creation.
Thanks for the link Quixotic. I am sure there will be many waterfall layouts in AQ in due course

About the judges' views, some of them appear to be slightly critical. There was a discussion somewhere that actually Cliff Hui's tank (no. 3) should rank number 1 but Judge No 15 Andrea Pietrocola gave him a low '114' and Cliff's overall score dropped. The same judge also awarded rank no. 14 and 27 score of 86 and 99 respectively.

About 'atificial' creation, white sand or cosmetic sand is very artificial to me but a few top scorers won with that.

Well.. competition is about understanding what other people (the judges) want... its not about how much you like your tank... i mean.. even if you dislike your tank, but you know that the judges will like it in one certain way...if you want to win, make your tank look like how you know people will like it.

i just love no.7. really gives a rainforest kind of place then got waterfall flowing out from a cave but still pretty confuse on how they manage to use the sand and air.
