Recently my two balloon rams have been around this little driftwood at the bottom of the tank.
they're "attacking" any fishes that come near it..
i went to a fish shop at yishun and was told that the female balloon ram had a reddish belly and i noticed that one of my ram's belly is quite reddish, so was just wondering, could it be pregnant or had laid eggs which caused the sudden territorial protection.

If so, how can i confirm if its pregnant or have laid eggs and what should i do..

    thanks

My experience, 2 times fail spawn though , that is the indication that they are ready to spawn. In my tank they prefer to layed on the flat rock instead of drift wood. Maybe flat surface easier for the male to fertilize the eggs, just guessing.

Also I had another pair in different tank with right indication but never spawn, I suspect because of the tank too small, it is only 20cm cube.
