Hi ALL.. wonder if you guys have any experience using black, glass-like sand.. its NOT fine, like sand from the beach.. size of the granules is like 2-3mm..
doesn't have additional ferts in it (told to me by LFS).. UNLIKE ADA..
I have already put it into my tank.. its quite sharp and can easily cut skin.. I got some small cuts laying it out..
Suspect it will damage roots..
Had to wash it quite throughly before I put it into the tank.. actually dirty.. didn't look dirty when in the bag..
any info is much appreciated..
