Welcome to AQ! Do feel free to browse around the forum.

There are a number of enthusiastic dwarf shrimp keepers to share your experiences with. What type of dwarf shrimps are you keeping?

Are you into those show quality guppies?

    Hello,

Yes, I do breed show quality guppies and besides that, dwarf shrimps like cherry, blue and green shrimps. I also like crystal red shrimps very much but I see no point of keeping them when I cannot provide them the optimum condition for them to live and breed.

    regards,
    Shi Xuan

Great to see an aquarist who who knows his limitation. Welcome to AQ !
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.
Don't walk behind me as I might not lead, don't walk in front of me as I might not follow. Walk beside me, as my friend.
Mohamad Rohaizal is my name. If it's too hard, use BFG. I don't mind.

Both the caridina and neocaridina genus of shrimps are grouped under dwarf shrimps and yamato/amano shrimps belong to the caridina while cherry shrimps belong to the neocaridina genus. If you are going to breed yamato/amano shrimps, please understand that their larva requires a certain level of salinity, so because of this, I have never attempted to breed them although I kept them in my tanks in the past.

Anyway, this thread is off topic, so this will end here.

    regards,
    Shi Xuan

    Hi,

Do you have any picture of your setup tank and do tell us more about your breeding process. I think that alot of us will benefit from it.

    Cheers
