Canon has announce the development of 2 new lenses recently.

Here's the Canon EF 200mm f2.0 L IS USM. One of the biggest aperture around, superceded only by it's predecessor the Canon EF 200mm f1.8 L USM
Here's the Canon EF 800mm f5.6 L IS USM. One of the longest EF mount Canon lenses on the market, second only to the EF 1200mm f5.6 L.

    More information here.

    Mervin? How?

    Cheers,

benny, the new 200mm is an IS lens. I heard the old 200/1.8 lens is now going on the market for USD7,500 much higher than the USD4,500 when it was new.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

I've seen a D2H mounted TO the Nikkor 800mm VR.

I almost bought one of these in 2005. But didn't quite like the front mounted tripod collar.

It seems like the EF 200 mm f1.8 L USM and the EF 50 mm f1.0 L USM are collectible items now.
