Water changes for EI dosing

Would it be harmful if i were to do 50% water change every 2 weeks or 30% weekly instead of the 50% weekly? I could cut down slightly (perhaps 1/4 teaspoon per dose) on KNO3 dosing so that there wouldn't be too much excess nutrient buildup?

it's getting expensive changing 200+ litres of water a week, so i thought i'd try and save some $$$ for my dad

i am doing 20-30% water change weekly too. if i am not wrong, you should cut down the frequency of dosing and not the amount per dose. i am doing 10ppm of No3 twice a week.

EI is not written in stone so there is some play in it. Just don't go to the extreme of both ends.
