    Hi, can I ask.. for the backdrop, i tried using those styrofoam type. But the thing is that no moss/ferns/etc can grow on it... hence there's a real contrast to the 'natural' look that I was trying to achieve.. also.. it doesn't get 'weathered'... do you have any suggestion what is a better backdrop? Thanks!!

    There is a thread in this forum showing Wildginger showing us how to make styrofoam backdrops for vivariums. You can try reading and DIY one for yourself.

    Or you can purchase the coloured and textured ones from fish shops and cut it to your tank size.

    Moss, or Java fern, can be added to the styrofoam using toothpicks bits... They will grow and attach themselves... as long as you keep the environment very humid.
