CO2 injection

I have been using a Delux Fully Automaic CO2 system for a few months.
To date the result have not be as expected--lush, beautiful plants.

I also bought an Aqualight, Delux Series as recommended.

This system used a Aqua Medic reactor and a pump for the injection of CO2.

I have now swithched to using an Eheim reactor in place of the above.

Concerns:

1. My PH readis a high of 6.9.
2. My Kh is 2dKH
3. I am trying for target of 24 ppm
4. I set my pin point controller to a HI of 6.6 and a LOW 6.2. the center value is 6.4.

Question???

Do I know what the heck I am doing??

If your test kit does not lie and it shows real 2dkH and yet the pH only reads 6.9, then I can assume that your attempt at injecting CO2 is not good enough. At 2dkH some ample CO2 injection will quickly brings down the pH to lower than that, closing to 6.

Care to share what size of tank, what kind of filtration is used?
Perhaps too much outgassing is happening? Perhaps not enough of CO2 is injected? Perhaps the system is too small to work efficiently for the tank?

Not sure how your outomated system work? can you set the target pH?

By the way what is your ferteliser dossing and your light wattage?

I am using a Pinpoint pH controller..the high Ph value was set at 6.90,,,I am now using a high of 6.8 and a low of 6.4...the center value is 6.8 .
I have a Pen PLax Cascade canister filter model 1200

My tank is 55 Gallons.

I supplement iron by using Florish Excel.


Light...2 8700K 65 watt Coralite bulbs..

Ph changes are at a rate of 1/100 Ph per 1/2 hour...
