Like to know from you gurus how you guys plant stem plants? Do you guys take 2-3 stalks at a time and plant them or 1 stem by 1 at a time? What is the optimal distance between each stalk or groups of plants. I am asking this because some of my stem plants are growing bushy that their leaves of one stalk run into the other..so messy..plus the fact I find so little light reaching their bottom. Will the bottom rot off due to lack of light reaching the bottom even though the top is growing like crazy? Thanks for any advice given.

when i first started i always bought a lot of plants at one shot and got so fed up with planting that i'd take 4~5 and plant together
nowadays i just get one pot, spread them out nicely
this lets the light penetrate the bottom and the plants get their nutrients without having to fight their neighbour tooth and nail

imo, it depends on the species.. my rotala macrandra 'green' var. can be planted in a bunch, the bottom dun melt off.. I feel it all depends on the species, especially if its a high light plant then best to plant them separately, giving 1 cm gap or more if u like
