    How to grow gu jing & Downoi well. I am using ada substrate Dennerelle pot mix with 150w metal halide Co2 injection for tank setup. Weekly fertilizer dosing of Dr Mallick lushgrow & Seachem Iron for my 2ft cube tank with fan tank tempearture is 27-28 deg. My Downoi & Gu Jing are doing well but I saw them melt away & disappear. My other plants are doing well. This 2 are really diificult plant. Can some experts help.

    for 2ft us 150w?! hmm...

    anyway was thinking, could it be due to you planting the stems into the ground? some of my gu jing died probably due to too much being planted in.

    its 2ft cube, 2ft hight, so 150W should be ok.

    Thanks for all the advise given especially shadow who point out that my tank is a 2ft cube (2ft x 2ft x 2ft). Hope my next try for the plant will be fine.

    for downoi i think once planted better try not to shift around or uproot it..... it will cause melting.. sibeh sensitive...

    I am very keen on Gu Jin. But I know it is a difficult plant to keep and it is also expensive. Thus I am a little hesitate to buy. Will consider when the price comes down a little.

    Whats gu jin? very familiar name.
