my fiancee has 2 in her tetra tanks with no problems...they largely keep to themselves except occasionally one likes to think he's a tetra and swims over and tries to school with them
Hi... Anyone can advise whether this fish can be mix together with others fishes and shrimps? Will it attack others?
Thinking of adding to my tank... Any advise?

This fish hardly bothers other fish and is pretty easy to breed too. Yours is likely a male. A female would be shorter in body height but rounder. I managed to breed them by chance last time.
Anyone into Rainbowfish must have a look at this website, Home of the Rainbowfish. Go to "Contents", then "Rainbowfish Species" and you should find some information of M. praecox in there.
One question though, is this your picture? If this is taken elsewhere, could you please kindly credit the owner/website? You can use the "Edit" button. Thanks.
neon rainbow is a community fish but better do not mixed with shrimp even tetra will tends to bite the shrimp
