does the emersed leaf have a shiny waxy surface and feel harder than the submersed leaves?

Don't think that is an emersed leaf. The real emersed leaves are usually different in shape, texture or even colour. I am now trying to plant a few varieties of Echinodorus in the emersed form, but they are planted in shallow water (10 cm). Which ones are you planting?
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Don't confuse emersed leaf with emergent leaf. The first is a leaf grown to survive outside water. The other is a aquatic leaf that happened to grow out of the water.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:
A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.

I am currently letting an E. Oriental plantlet grow out of the tank, but still attached to the mother plant. Although in the air-con room, the single new leaf so far is still pinkish and growing. I wonder what are the chances it won't dry up? I would like to see the flowers bloom out of the water.

KF, how about convincing KK to let you put a "pond" along the corridor
