Came across a picture of these guys while looking up info on shrimp. Here is the link that I found them at: http://www.aquatic-store.com/en-us/dept_307.html Anyone know anything about these? Are they injected with dye or do they actually look like that naturally??? Says that they are from Hong Kong- and looks like a ghost shrimp to me, but I don't know much about shrimp. What do you think?

almost certainly a member of Caridinae, which doesn't say a lot as there are hundreds of species in this group occuring in the southeast China area.
as a general principle, apply great caution for any fancy sounding shrimps that costs a lot of money. also apply a large dose of salt ot most web sites giving latin names interspersed with fancy english names. shrimp taxonomy is complex, confusing, under studied, and mostly cannot be confirmed to the species level without microscopic dissection.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

Yeah- I wasn't looking into buying these shrimp, I was just curious about them. They look a bit like those color-injected fish you see in the pet stores around here in the USA.
