Jangkar waterfall is the tallest & biggest waterfall in western Sarawak (if excluding those waterfalls in Penrissen - Padawan areas). Luckily, there was not much rainfall for the past few days, else the journey will be much tougher than that Saturday trip.

The challenging part is the "water trail". We got to walk along & criss crossing the river & climbing the giant rocks on the riverbank before reaching that waterfall. Luckily, nobody was injured during the trip.

It's a wonderful trip to go out with a group of young & talented photographers & outdoor friends.

    The big Jangkar waterfall:

    Jangkar waterfall:

    Water is crystal clear.

    Rainbow!

    Jangkar waterfall.

Someone is standing near the water (sense of scale):

    Water is flowing fast....

    Someone is showing his body....

That place is very remote....I don't think any travel agents can bring you there.

Dry season is better for visiting Sarawak.

    Michael,
Looks very nice, I think remote is good as you'd have a lot of tourists there if it isn't.
Why is dry season is better? less potholes from rain?

Yeah, maybe we should organize an AQ outing to Sarawak and if we ask Micheal very nicely about it, maybe he'll be our guide. Lol!

Sorry guys, I'm not a tour guide. If I'm a guide, then I will charge money for the adventure trip.

Mike have you ever found this sucker type fish that clings to the walls of the waterfall where the white water usually is?? This fish is usually not swimming in the water and prefers areas where the water just gushes over it....
I just came back from a certain waterfall and i could see it almost at every white water area on the rocks.
