Boiga dendrophila
Another one (2 snakes):
I didn't bring the knife, so it can't save those pity snakes.
Found 2 species of dead snakes in this November 2007.
One is a beautiful small snakes (about 15cm long) which only dwells in leaf litter. (not venomous)
Another one is a venomous cat snake (Boiga dendrophila) which was stuck in a fish net set by a villager at a blackwater river in Lachau near Seri Aman.
Most of the snakes in Borneo island are not venomous. The no. 1 killer of snake is Human because Human always think snake is a dangerous reptile. But in fact, snake helps Human to eat all those pest such as rats, insects & others. It is very important creature in our eco-system.
Most of the time, the snake will run off quickly when I am walking in the jungle so, it is NOT EASY to photograph a snake, especially flying snake. However, I hope I won't encounter the King Cobra in the jungle because it is the largest venomous snake in the world!! When you see King Cobra, run as fast as you can!
Probably this small snake is Pseudorabdion?
Close-up.
length = 15cm

poor snake, victim of circumstances.
I do agree that Human are more vicious than most snakes.
Once I rescued a 12 ft python after it was ran over by a car.
After nursing it back to health I gave it to a friend, thinking he
would take good care of it, but it ended up as his dinner.
Never talk to him again.

Wah Richard,
You dare to take care of 12 ft python-ar? I saw a huge python once at the longkang. Didn't dare to touch it. Just leave it be. I think it was looking for prey.

a 12 ft python don't really weight that much, just hang around your neck and hold on to the head. They are not that difficult to handle
the python was found in my old camp, Changi Air Base,
my friend there was a commando from the nearby commando unit.
they keep lots of strange pets and eat lots of strange stuff too.
