Last weekend was a beautiful Sunday but I wasn't feeling well, so I asked my outdoor friends not climbing any limestone hills. But well, at the end, we went to climb a sandstone hill about 2 miles away from limestone hill outcrop.

My friend drove his 4-wheel-drive vehicle to a slope at 600 feet inside an oil palm plantation. After that, we had to hack the bushes to hike to the jungle near the summit. The secondary forest is too dense that we took one hour just to reach a point which the altitude is 800 feet!!!

Then, at 850 feet, we saw the sandstone cliff. It is not easy to climb sandstone cliff, so we didn't manage to reach the summit.

We found an unidentified species of Begonia grows on the sandstone cliff. This is the first time in my life seeing Begonia in sandstone outcrop!!! Probably it is a new species???

On the way back, I failed to catch up with my mates and went to the wrong direction and stuck in the bushes. The grasses and ferns are so tall that I hardly could move. But I managed to find a wild boar's trail which is about 1 meter wide and 1.5 meter high.....and I needed to crawl along the trail as wild boar can not stand like Human, so do not expect to walk on that trail. 30 minutes later, I found the path of where we came from & met up with my friends.

Luckily, there was no wild boar sleeping on the trail or else, I may get big trouble. ( I didn't bring parang / machete). Ha!ha!

By the time we reached our car, it started to rain. Then we rushed back home to watch the badminton match (Malaysia team vs China team at China open) and we're so happy that one of our woman badminton players won the badminton match for the first time in the history of our country! Hooray!!!

I can see you're a season (a maybe a bit hardcore) adventurer. If I'm not feeling well, I don't even want to leave the bedroom let alone go climb a sandstone cliff and crawl on wild boar's path. Salute you! Makes me feel young again.
