    Hi

Would like to seek advice if the following setup is suitable for a pair for adult macrostoma. Tank size is 24" x 16" x 18"H. Using OHF and Amazona II substrate.

Is there any other fishes that I may add in such as Pelvicachromsis or shrimps?

    Thanks
    Nicholas

Hi I'm also keeping a pair. In terms of water parameters, a pH of 7 and softwater will do just fine. They even spawn recently but eggs got eaten up.

Shrimps will definitely be treated a meal. I used to have yamatos but they are either eaten up or they jump of the tank.

    Hi,
set up looks good enough. Enough of hiding place. Notice that you do have cover for your tank which is good. Just make sure the cover is always up.

you can add fancy guppies, they are fast enough that the mac's will not chase after them after the 2nd try.
