Oto. Yes... mainly for brown algae and other flat algae. Does not eat fish food, so will continue to graze for algae. Will not handle algae like thread, hair, BBA as it's mouth is made for scraping surfaces and not nibbling. It's good to have a few in a planted tank as algae prevention.
Vincent - AQ is for everyone, but not for 'u' and 'mi'.
Why use punctuation? See what a difference it makes:A woman, without her man, is nothing.
A woman: without her, man is nothing.
thx for the fast reply , erm is there any relative small fish that will eat hair algae ?
I've seen my rocket pencil fish striping off hair algae but they eat very little amount compared to those i have. So manually removing it is the best bet you can get.
Cheers!

I see, i did manage to put out some, a small amt is still stuck together with my java moss
i bought 2 of these fishes already they are great they gobble up the algae very efficiently, i bought 2 at 2 dollars each (darn expensive) []
too bad. i even had to pay 2.80 for one last time.
its extremely fragile so be careful
Do apple snails eat hair algae?
wat eats BBA?
I had some experince with flower snails getting rid of my BBA previously. Problem is the snails also left behind some wierd white colour egg looking bits all over my tank.
