Hendry & I decided to climb a limestone hill near Kuching on Saturday morning (Dec 8, 2007).
The hill is not very high & we only took about one hour to reach the summit. It's not challenging at all to climb that hill.
However, we were so surprised to find a big population of rare slipper orchid (Paphiopedilum stonei) in this area. We also found a lot of other species of orchids at the summit area. This is also my first time saw the flower of slipper orchid in the wild.
This is the first time Hendry joined me to explore in the jungle. He saw at least 6 juvenile of pit vipers at the summit area.

The humidity is very high here:
The limestone cliff.
First time shoot the jungle using my new Tamron lens....I didn't mount my camera on the tripod (hand held).
Hendry is photographing the orchids.
