    Hi,
I have a 3ft 5Plan Tank which I have filled up to almost 90% capacity. Reason being I do not like the splashing sound from the outflow of my OverHead Filter. If I fill it up to the bream of the outflow, the splashing sound is eliminated.
Just want to make sure that it is safe. Will the tank be able to take the pressure?
    Cheers,

I'll also consider the distance between the water surface and the lights. If your lights are not properly shielded, short circuits are possible when splashing occurs. Otherwise, I don't see any problems with filling up to 90% of the tank. You can also consider bringing the filter outlet closer to the water by using a short length of hose.

    Cheers!

Mechanically the tank should not have any problem holding the water (unless it has a flaw in the tank build itself). My 4X2X2 ft tank is filled almost to the brim.
    Cheers!!
