maybe you want to share your tank setup and water parameter? tank size, light, fertelizer dosing, co2, substrate, temperature, etc?
got white fungi and i think green spot algae infestation in my 2ft planted tank ..also starting to see yellowish tips on my ferns ( sorry dunno what the name of the fern) ...also another plant which has long leaves and no stem ( looks like grass) is starting to turn translucent and browing at the tips ...
java moss also turning brown at some parts ...
what could be the problem in my tank ?

errmm just a basic setup , no CO2 , substrate is some japanese super soil from sea view , lighting is from dymax (sorry don't about PL FL ) no ferts dosing , 2ft tank , bioload is 20+ cardinals with eihiem 2213
You don't dose fertilisers, therefore those signs that your plants are displaying are signs of lack of nutrition.
Or, if you just put in those plants recently, they are displaying such rotting signs because they are converting from emersed to submersed form.
actually i did put some ferts ...just that i forgot ...its some condensed additional fertilizer from haitai ...its meant to be buried into the substrate according to sea view...plants have been in for about 3 weeks
planted tanks usually require some form of weekly fertilisation regime, im using sechem trace and potassium, co2 daily dose since i dun have co2 tank
Those fertilizers were probably meant for plants that have roots. Java fern and Java moss don't typically take nutrients from the roots unless you have them lying on the substrate.
What you need are probably liquid fertilisers. Try the Seachem Flourish range. You don't have CO2 so growth will be slow, thus don't dose so much of it.
Also, the plants might be still acclimatising due to the normal CO2 condition in the water.
3 weeks? did you buy from LFS? does the fern melt before? if you bough it from LFS and it never melt before, then it is probably converting from emersed to submersed form. Just cut it off the whole brown leaves.
By the way how many watt is your light and how big is your tank (LxWxH)?
60cm x 30 cm x 40 cm tank ( sorry don't remember the exact dimension ) , light i think its 18w x 2 actually the worse is the grass ( has roots ) ...turning translucent and looks like rotting bought from sea view
Yea that's a standard 2ft tank in the market. 36W of light should be ok, you can go low maintanence and non-CO2. You need liquid fertilisers like Nitrogen Potassium and phosphate and a trace element mix. The rotting plants might be due to acclimatisation or lack of nutrients for growth, we can't be sure until we have a clear picture.
my photo taking skills suck ...but anyhow...thank you so much for advise rendered ... i'll probably take a stalk of the plant to ask my LFS
