Just a new member saying "Hello!".

Am a pleco & cory girl myself. Sadly my tank went under when we moved house recently. My fishes boarded in my mum's pond while I was trying to figure out the new place for my tank. Before I could, the over-zealous new maid decided to give all the fishes a bubble bath; I came home to see a pail of dead fishes.

Looking through AQ forums, kinda inspired to keep fishies again. Although still unsure, especially since my room got downsized, my 2ft definitely doesn't fit well. Planning a low-tech, nano tank... but that's not enough space for a school of cories to run free?! Then again, maybe I should try scaping again [my cories used to destroy my plants] and place in "better behaved" fishies instead. Btw, are shrimps well behaved in this sense?

Plan, plan, plan.. think, think, think. Better read up more on AQ first.

    Cheers!

    Hi,
welcome. Sorry to heard about what happened to your fishes.

If you are looking at a 1 ft tank, you might want to keep a pair of Apisto or Wild Betta. Cool and fishes with attitude!!!

    Hi Wenwen,

    Welcome to the forum.

Good to see a female hobbist in the forum.

I always believe there are ladies out there who are into fishes and planted tank.

Actually planted tank and cories can be mixed together. You need to plan what type of plants to use, when is the better time to put the cories in the tank.

Do read up and have fun in setting up your tank.

    Cheers
    Nicholas
