Does crypts flower growing submersed? A few days ago, i saw my kota tinggi flowering. Is that normal? The flower is not fully open up yet. Will the flower open submersed in water? Are there any pics of kota tinggi flowers, somehow i could not find much information or pics of it on the web.

Seems like it, you may want to guickly borrow a cam and take a clear picture of it?

The plant is easy both in and out of water. if you have the space, why not try it emerse too?

Below is a set up from a Japanese hobbyist.

I'm actually waiting for my bonus so i can get a proper digital camera for myself.

Was actually thinking of growing it emerse too, but because of electricity bills going up. My Mum has been constantly nagging me about my lighting & chiller. She even switch half of my lights off when i'm not around . So i think having addtional tank and light is out of the question.

BTW looking at the shape of it, it looks kind of like the flower in your avatar. Is yours Kota tinggi too?

Will the flower open in the water or will it die off?

If thats really the flower, it will probably try to reach out of the surface and open up then.

Wow, that's a long way to the surface. It really needs to stretch out it's flower to reach to the top.
