looks like you're doing it rojak style. take a little effort to plant the background with the tall plants or you'll regret it when they grow.. heh

    Hey Morpheus,

Glad to see you enjoying yourself and the trip to Teo's is fruitful. Tank still looking a bit bare but I suppose it'll soon fill up.

You going for "Dutch" style ah?

    Regards,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

Guess you have to spread out the Hairgrass don't just chunk them one bunch over there.

Soon enough the Elatine(app) will over take the foreground resulting in hairgrass not able to cope with the speed of APP.

    Is the lights enough?
    Cheers!

er... excuse me for saying these, but...

is that some kind of tape at the end of your light casing? making sure the stand doesn't come off?

maybe can remove that pair of scissors hanging there...

those 'fa' stickers for your plants to grow faster, is it? []
    P-L-E-C-O-R-Y=M-A-N-I-A!!! YEAH!
FLORENCE, capital of the region of Tuscany, has a population of around half a million inhabitants, spreads on the banks of the Arno, between the Adriatic and the Tyrrhenian seas, almost in the middle of the Italian peninsula. It is a city which bustles with industry and craft, commerce and culture, art and science.

If you bunch them together, they can't propagate properly.

What I did was, I spread them out and pick out the healthy ones. I just plant a few plants at a time. It is a really back breaking process.[]

But then, when the hair grass start to grow, you will get a more natural looking lawn.

    Just my thoughts:

HG: need to spread out as mentioned.
method: split into small bunches, each 5-6 strands
plant them in a parade formation, 1cm spacing apart

    Glosso: need to plant properly
method: choose the good healthy green ones. choose the tips, fist 4 pairs of
    leaves, remove the rest

plant horizontally along tank, into gravel just leaving the leaves
    showing .

Lotus: Will grow very very big in time.. and block everything below.

    My 2 cents
The key to success is patience. If that fails, screw the guy in front of you!!

I think you've chosen 3 types of foreground plant. And the rest are background plants. Maybe you can get some mid ground plants.

I suggest you get more plants maybe some crypts and maybe some smaller Echinodorus sp.

The Lotus is ok. It will grow big, so remove the bigger leaves and avoid all surface leaves.

May I know the tank dimensions and parameters e.g. lights, co2, fert?
    Cheers!!
