Fungus as in cloudy eyes? If it is, you could try melafix.

Can go ask around here. Bettabite Forum

Macrostoma is quite a delicate species. Go consult the experts.

Cloudy eye is not deadly. I would prefer not to add medicine. Just keep the water in tip top condition. If it gets worse, add some yellow powder. I find that wilds from unimaculata group like macrostoma are senstive to melafix.

there is a medicine called Maroxy, made by Mardel, this works very well, I treated my male, and female macrostoma with with it and they didn't get stressed out, Melafix doesn't work too well, I only use it if i see torn fins or open sores on any fish, it works very well on that.

Ive had a fair share of that experience too.. what i did was carry out a slight water change and adding melafix for 7 consecutive days. At the end of it, do another water change and i could really see recovery in my male's cloudy eye.
