almost all of my shots are trash, especially the nightjar
anyway, good to see you shoot something else beside fishes, how about macro the next round?
Hi guys,
When out with Mervin and Simon for a shoot today. Wasn't well prepared for it as I'm quite out of touch. Forgot this and that and even ran out of battery. Shame. However, still manage to get something that I'm happy with..
This nightjar was very still so it was possible to get very close and use a slower shutter speed. I love the fluffy look!
The Great Egret is rather skittish and this was shot where we saw the giant channa preying on the small fishes. Lighting was a bit harsh by the time I was shooting this bird.
The Grey Heron was all over the place. I only manage to get this half bake shot of it high on the tree. Regretably, it's a backlit subject.
The Coppersmith Barbet was zipping all over the place and it was quite difficult to track it in the camera. Only manage to get few shots.
Although it was only a half day event, I was totally wasted. However, it was good fun and I think I'll do it again!
Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

Anyway, here are 2 portraits shots of the same birds above.

Lucky i never go, with all the pros around. I like the fluff up look on the nightjar, absolutely cute! Great details!
Cheers!

Benny,
For someone who (claimed) is out of touch, you still shoot some very mean pictures!
